1. Relative humidity, the moisture in the air, is a component of curing. You do not want to open a container of much more than you can use at that time. Unless you are very, very careful, any paint on the paint can seal will cure when you close it and permanently seal the can. Very permanently. Unbelievably permanently. If there is any leak of any kind in the seal the contents cure to rock. No 'skin' just one chunk. The exposure during open use may be enough. That is why the small amounts.
2. The cured finish is UV sensitive. It does not seem to affect it structurally but it does cause discoloration. Thus, use it as a primer/tie coat and topcoat with something if using in UV exposure.
Wear gloves and protect surroundings. Cannot stress that enough. It is unforgiving.
